Similar kinds of partnerships have been at the centre of the success of the team members involved, hence the reason we have decided to maintain our international, cross-country research collaboration and engage others, encouraging more partnerships with academia and industry (i.e. education, health care, financial services, manufacturing , etc.). These partnerships are a fundamental part of the discovery process, and without these partnerships, it is not possible to produce knowledge that is useful and relevant to the field and to organizations. Dr. Yuan Jiang

Yuan Jiang, Ph.D., is a visiting assistant professor of organization management at the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his B.A. and M.A. in Economics from Sun Yat-Sen University (Guangzhou, China), and his master’s and doctoral degrees in Industrial Resources and Human Resources from Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ).

Dr. Ernst Balla (Research Associate)

Dr. Balla is responsible for Management Development in the Corporate Human Resource Department of voestalpine AG, a worldwide steel company with over 40,000 employees in 60 countries. He is head of the internal international leadership-program. After 10 years experience in training and personnel development from the consultant’s view having an economic and technical background he changed in 2005 into a healthcare company with 20,000 people to be responsible for  leadership development and educational issues before he joins voestalpine in 2008.

Dr. Werner Auer-Rizzi

Austria

Werner Auer-Rizzi is an associate professor of Business Administration at the Johannes Kepler University Linz.

He studied Business Administration and Informatics and worked as a software developer during his studies. Before joining the Institute for International Management Studies at Johannes Kepler University in 1988, he worked as a system analyst with IBM, White Plains, New York and on several projects in Belgium (Ford) and Norway (Statoil).

Ms. Pauline Maybery

Wales

Pauline Maybery is an experienced HR professional who worked at both at strategic and operational levels in HR during her employment.  Since setting up as an independent HR Consultant, Pauline has worked with more than 150 organisations in Wales, primarily SMEs.  As well as working with clients on a private basis, she has worked on a number of funded projects, including a DTI pilot project on Shared HR services for small employers using the CIPD’s High Performance Work Model, the Wales Government’s Work Life Challenge Initiative, SME Equality Project, and contributed to its review of the Co

Ms. Justine Berndt (Research Associate)

Canada

Justine is currently a graduate student at the University of Victoria. Having completed the course-work requirements of the Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) program, Justine has been recognized by the School of Public Administration for outstanding academic achievement. Prior to her Masters, Justine graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Human Resource Management. Currently, she is working at MNP as a Consultant focusing on the public and not-for-profit sectors.

Dr. Secil Bayraktar (Research Associate)

Canada

Secil Bayraktar works as a postdoctoral research fellow at Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria. She has received her Ph.D. in Management and Organization from Bogazici University, Department of Management. Her doctoral work, which has been awarded the best dissertation, has focused on organizational change, with an emphasis on affective and cognitive dimensions of employee reactions to change.
