Similar kinds of partnerships have been at the centre of the success of the team members involved, hence the reason we have decided to maintain our international, cross-country research collaboration and engage others, encouraging more partnerships with academia and industry (i.e. education, health care, financial services, manufacturing , etc.). These partnerships are a fundamental part of the discovery process, and without these partnerships, it is not possible to produce knowledge that is useful and relevant to the field and to organizations. Dr. Ghazali Musa

Ghazali Musa is a medical doctor and a full professor in the Department of Business Strategy and Policy at the Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya. His areas of expertise are tourism management, consumer behaviour, services management and services marketing. He has a wide range of interest in tourism research which includes scuba diving tourism, mountaineering tourism and medical tourism.

Dr. Carlotta Meo Colombo (In memoriam)

In Memoriam of our research partner and friend - Dr. Carlotta Meo Colombo.

Dr. Meo Colombo held a Ph.D.  degree in Business Management and worked as a research and teaching assistant in the Department of Economics and Business Sciences at University of Pavia, Italy. She held an MBA degree and a BA degree in Business Management and Business Administration both obtained from University of Pavia. She was also a visiting PhD student at University College Dublin, Ireland.

Dr. Tim Craig

Dr. Tim Craig

Dr. Tim Craig is a professor in the Global MBA program of Doshisha Business School in Kyoto, Japan, where he heads and teaches in the Culture and Creativity focus area. He previously taught for sixteen years at Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria, where he worked closely with Dr. Ali Dastmalchian as MBA Director and Associate Dean. His research has covered various areas, including international business, cross-cultural issues, Japanese management, and cultural and creative industries. Tim is lead vocalist and plays rhythm guitar for the Osaka-based Zen Brothers band.

Dr. Philip Sugai

Dr. Sugai joined Doshisha Business School in 2013 where he teaches Marketing, eMarketing, Marketing Research, and Marketing for. Prior to joining the Doshisha University faculty, Dr. Sugai taught at the International University of Japan in Niigata since 2002.

Mr. William Zhang (Research Associate)

William Zhang is currently working on his Global MBA with Doshisha Business School in Kyoto, Japan. Prior to joining the Global MBA program, he worked in the aerospace supply-chain business with a Japanese multi-national corporation. His expertise includes but not limited to procurement, contract administration, professional knowledge on jet engine/industrial gas turbine manufacturing, cross-culture communication & international management, and marketing research & strategy.

Mr. Reid Aune (Research Associate)

Reid Aune is currently an MBA candidate at the Global MBA program of Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He has also gained multiple years of experience working in small and large Japanese companies as an instructor, editor, translator and manager since moving to Japan in 2005.

Ms. Liying Luo (Research Associate)

During her study at Shenzhen University in China, Liying Luo had an internship at the financial department of OMRON Shenzhen in August 2011. Between 2010 and 2011, Liying Luo joined OUSSEP program in Osaka University as an exchange student to study Japanese language and culture, including Ideology and Japanese Tradition, Japanese Literature. She also had a chance to interact with students from more than twenty countries.

Mr. Mohammad Habibi (Research Associate)

Mohammad Habibi has 24 years of extensive consulting and professional experience in the fields of HR & OD consulting and is now Research Director of HR at the Industrial Management Institute (IMI). Mr. Habibi has a Master's degree in Management Consulting and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA). His areas of interest include HRD and MRM, and Assessment and Development Centers (ADCs).

Mr. Yasin Rofcanin (Research Associate)

Yasin Rofcanin will start his Ph.D. studies at Warwick Business School in Entrepreunership, Innovation and Management Division. He has taken three years of Ph.D. course work at Bogazici University where he is qualified for Ph.D. candidacy and attended Ph.D. level courses at Syracuse University. Yasin has broad range of interests including prosocial motivation, relational job design, employee proactivity, psychological contracts and job crafting / I-Deals.
