Dr. Pinar Imer

Dr. Pinar Imer is a lecturer of Management at Department of Business Administration, Kadir Has University in Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Imer received her PhD in Organizational Studies with an emphasis on organizational behavior from Bogazici University in 2009. She holds an MBA degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, CUNY prior to her PhD studies, and was a post-doc research fellow at Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at University of Victoria, BC, Canada in 2011. Since late 2010, Dr. Imer has been participating in a training program on systemic constellations in Istanbul, with an emphasis on organizational constellations. She has had teaching experience at several universities in Istanbul including Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Dogus University.

She is interested in researching antecedents and consequences of workplace attitudes and behaviors as well as the interrelationships between contextual and dispositional variables to influence workplace behaviors with cross-cultural emphasis. Specifically, her research interests include contextual attitudes like multiple commitments and employee perceptions, values and personality related characteristics of employees, organizational citizenship behaviors, employee motivation, leadership, culture in organizations, psychological contracts and idiosyncratic deals. Her work has been presented in several national and international conferences and published in scholarly international journals. She has a co-authored a chapter in Blyton et al.’s Ways of Living: Work, Community and Lifestyle Choices, 2010 (London: Palgrave McMillan).
