Ghazali Musa is a medical doctor and a full professor in the Department of Business Strategy and Policy at the Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya. His areas of expertise are tourism management, consumer behaviour, services management and services marketing. He has a wide range of interest in tourism research which includes scuba diving tourism, mountaineering tourism and medical tourism.
Ghazali’s unique background of possessing both a medical degree (MBBS) and a doctorate in philosophy (PhD) allows him to integrate knowledge from the perspectives of both medical sciences and social sciences into his research and consultancy work. He has contributed to over 70 publications which include over 30 peer-reviewed international journal manuscripts, 7 books, and 15 book chapters.
Dr Ghazali earned his MBBS from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and a PhD from Otago University, New Zealand. His past professional affiliations include being on the panel of the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). He is currently in the Editorial Board of three international tourism journals, which are Current Issues in Tourism, Annals of Leisure Research and Tourism and the Cities. He is also the currently the head of the Services Research and Innovation Centre (ServRI) at University Malaya.
