Data Collection

Our team is conducting this research in a number of countries to develop an understanding and better appreciation of the cultural differences that may impact HR climates and its consequences. These countries currently include Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Iran, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Vietnam. Our goal is to acquire access to 30 companies (workplaces) in each country

Data Analysis

Once the data has been collected, we will then analyze the data from the interviews and from the HR Climates survey to determine the impact of such climates on the relationships between company practices and performance – both within each country and across societies.

The Canadian research team will be responsible for the coding of the data and preliminary analysis to ensure consistency across countries with coding and first stage data analysis. Once this has been completed, country specific coded data sets will be made available to each Cross Country Investigator for further analysis.
